1. We bought a new puppy on Monday, only to find out today at her puppy check-up that she has a congenital defect that cannot be fixed. In fact, it will only get worse over time. At the vet's urging, we left her with him...for good. Most likely, she will be put down. We are all sad tonight and many tears have been shed. In honor of Pippa, we made cookies (Nash even participated).

2. I have not done laundry since Monday. That's FOUR days, people. For those who know me well, this is an eternity. We have been so busy with the new puppy and other things, I decided to take a few days off. Needless to say, the laundry hampers are overflowing!
3. Our (fabulous) new Hy-Vee is offering monthly cooking classes for kids! Cameron and Avery went to the first class and had so much fun! They made pizzas!
4. Ed and I actually went on a date while the kids were at the cooking class! It was wonderful being able to eat and talk uninterrupted! We talked about my hopes and dreams and things I could possibly do to bring in a little income. I'll keep you posted on what develops...
5. Kansas City finally has a Trader Joe's! Yesterday, we went with our friends to check it out. We found a few things but, overall, it wasn't quite as wonderful as I remember it being in Michigan. Still, we had a fun afternoon with our friends. We had lunch at Chick-fil-A and also did a little shopping. Avery and I found some neat items at Claire's on the 10 for $10 rack!
